Estes got started as a company in 1958 when its found, Vern Estes, created a machine capable of mass-producing model rocket engines. Balsa nose cones and adapaters were added to the product line and by 1960, Estes was selling model rocket kits by mail. Estes Industries continued to grow and became the largest manufacturer of model rocket kits and engines. Their large selection provides rocketeers with plenty of choice.
