Everyone has their favorite model rocket kit vendor. TLP is mine for mid-power flying model rocket kits. Their kits usually present a challenge to build and are fun to fly. The finished product looks great, if build and painted correctly. A few things you should know when considering the purchase of a The Launch Pad kit... Many people, including myself, feel the balsa wood provided with the kit isn't strong enough and replace it. Personally, I use basswood. The facecards also show the rockets with markings on them. There are no decals included with the kits.
If you are an experienced modeler who likes military-style scale rockets, try a TLP kit, odds are you'll enjoy it thoroughly. Expect to work with paper shrouds, cut your own fins, and shape detailed pieces from paper and balsa wood.
